That's a 2nd generation Volkswagen Golf.
It's a European market 1990 special edition 8 valve without AC, with a sun roof in Tornado Red, with a 5 speed manual tranmission.
You can tell because it has thick side moldings but only rear quarter flares, round headlights, small bumpers with chrome but large door windows
